Paul and Tawnya were amazing! Not only do we have great pictures, but they were so helpful during the wedding and reception. Their service went beyond capturing the moment – they made sure everything went smooth. From helping everyone at the church as a coordinator to giving us rides from a pre-ceremony photo shoot, our wedding day was perfect and they were just one of the reasons why!

Paul and Tawnya did our wedding in 2004- and it was absolutely wonderful. More than just photos (which were beautiful, artistic, and fun), they were like wedding coordinators! They really went above and beyond anything I expected. The day was wonderful (and they didn’t pull the wedding party away for 45min after the vows like I’ve seen at other weddings- it was about 15 min max).
Over the years, he’s done work for our local breast cancer fundraiser and weddings for a few friends. All were great!
He’s also done pics of my children- they had a great time and he was great with them too. Keeping them entertained and still being able to capture that “moment” is not easy!
They have been around a long time and really know how to make you feel comfortable and bring out the best in your photos! I would highly recommend Paul Murphy Photography to anyone. From wedding albums to a single business headshot, he’s been great.

My daughter and husband bought a surprise photo session for our birthdays while we were in Napa/Sonoma in September. Paul was fabulous, making us feel at ease for the photo shoot. The proof is in the photos – they are amazing! Our group of 4 could not have been easy to photograph, but there were so many excellent shots, it was difficult to narrow down our favorites. The outdoor location was beautiful and we are more than pleased with the results!

A Groupon deal was gifted to us when our 1st son was born. The session was fantastic, fun and relaxed.
Paul takes so many photos it makes it hard to pick!
The prints (untouched) are absolutely gorgeous!!
I was initially disappointed in the Facebook images that were included with the Groupon but Paul quickly fixed them and zipped them over in an email. Customer satisfaction is high on his list.
I recommend Paul Murphy Photography to anyone looking for great pictures and great deals!

I’ve had Paul take photos of my baby girl at 6 months and 1 year and I LOVE the photos he takes. Amazing what he can get out of my baby girl who often times makes funny faces or refuses to look at a camera. He’s so patient with her, and he works very hard to get her to look up and smile. He is willing to do whatever it takes to get the shot. He’s upgrading his online gallery, so there’s some growing pains with that but we worked those issues out. He’s very attentive and cares about making the customer happy.

I hired Paul Murphy as the photographer for my wedding this past Saturday. While I have not yet seen any photos – Paul informed us that it will take about 4 weeks to send us a disc – I have to say that we were very pleased with his work. He was on time, friendly and courteous – he wasn’t pushy and we didn’t feel rushed to get the photos done. He was also very patient with our three dogs, that were also in the wedding, as well as with our nephew who was being less than cooperative. Even my guests commented on how much they liked Paul. His assistant, Tawnya, was also very professional, patient and sweet.
UPDATE:
My husband I received our wedding photos in the mail last week and we are VERY pleased with how they turned out. Our family and friends have also commented on how beautiful the photos are. Paul also included a very lovely “thank you” card in the package. We couldn’t be happier with the total experience with Paul Murphy Photography.

WEDDING DAY PHOTOGRAPHY REVIEW –
My husband and I had our wedding shot by them 7 years ago and they really do go above and beyond!! First making us feel comfortable during the engagement session and ending up with the most amazing photos to display in our home and at the reception.
Then attending our rehearsal and totally stepping in to help us out when the person that was supposed to show us what to do was a no show that night!!
Then lastly the wedding day, WOW, between the two of them making sure everything was coordinated and running smoothly for us was amazing in itself. The added bonus was getting beautiful pictures from the big day.
They really are very invested in making your wedding day run smoothly and helping out where ever they see they need to step in!!
FAMILY PORTRAITS REVIEW –
So our family has since grown and now we wanted to capture another milestone with Paul Murphy. So we scheduled a family portrait session and just as expected Paul made us comfortable as always and picked out a great location with several different key elements to use as backdrops. He has a great eye and can also help with clothing choices and let you know what will look good behind the lense and what wont.
Our daughter opened up to Paul very quickly and was all smiles which made for a relaxing afternoon of family photos.
He is very patient and easy going so it helps you to not feel rushed or uncomfortable which is very important because you can see this in the final product of the photos.
My only complaint is that he always takes way to many great photos and I can never choose 🙂 If that’s the only complaint I can come up with you bet i will be driving another 2.5 hours to have our next photos done. You cant go wrong with Paul Murphy photography!!

WOW! What an AMAZING photographer. I did a boudoir shoot for my fincee and purchased an album. I was nervous for the shoot, but felt instantly relaxed. The album came out better than I could have ever imagined. I know my husband will LOVE it. And, now I know what to do for an anniversary gift! Thanks Paul!!

PMP did the pics for my daughter’s sports team. These were the best of many such pics we have had over many years.
They were also helpful in getting what we wanted b/c I had forgotten to send in the order form on the pic day. A small snafu in delivering the pics was quickly addressed and fixed. Thanks.

These two make an awesome team! I was very comfortable and had a lot of fun during our session. I used the Groupon deal, but they went far and above what the deal was for. I totally recommend Paul and Tawnya! I love my photos and it was a really fun experience 🙂

I had Paul Murphy take pictures of both my daughters on seperate occasions. Paul was so nice and friendly, it took no time at all for my daughters to feel at ease and comfortable having their pictures taken, in fact they enjoyed it! The pictures turned out wonderful and I can’t wait to show them to my family and friends. I absolutely recommend Paul and would hire him again!

Just finished up a boudoir session with Paul and Tawnya. I haven’t seen the photos yet but Paul and Tawnya were great to work with- professional but relaxed and helped me to feel super comfortable and I had a great time. Paul’s direction was clear and very helpful. I also loved Tawnya’s assistance and input with aesthetics and wardrobe. I’m hoping to update this to 5 stars after I receive the photos!

I had boudoir photos taken by Paul was very pleased with his ability to pose and light me in a flattering. Tawnya was extremely skillful and patient in helping me with various props and wardrobe changes. Overall I was happy with the results, although I would recommend you pay close attention to what is available in retouching and printing options and the costs. Some of the retouching was less than hoped for.

Beautiful pictures, and fun to work with!
We chose Paul as our wedding photographer on the recommendation of our wedding venue, The Lodge at Sonoma Rennaisance Resort & Spa, after only one phone conversation with him. We liked Paul from the moment we met him for our engagement session. He was relaxed, fun, and provided good direction on poses for the best possible pictures. The quality of the digital images and prints we ordered were outstanding.
As our wedding day approached, we completed all of our communications about how the day would flow via email, which I strongly prefer to phone conversations. Paul was flexible and responsive to our desires. We told Paul we wanted to get good pictures, but didn’t want the photography to be the focus of our day. On the day of the wedding, he was prompt, organized and efficient to capture all of the photos we wanted in a short period of time. And he was fun and funny in the process! During our reception, Paul was largely invisible to us (per our request) but somehow always seemed to be handy when we wanted to capture a particular group or moment.
I requested quick turn around on a photo to include on our Christmas card, and he chose one for us and sent it right away. The full set of our digital images followed quickly. There are hundreds of great pictures – I don’t know how we’ll choose a reasonable number for our album!

I live in Hawaii so I hardly see my nephew. Every chance I get, I put him in front of a camera so I can add his new pictures to my excessive collection. While looking for the right photographer who wouldn’t charge an arm and leg for outdoor shoots, I stumbled across a Groupon deal that was too good to pass up.
My initial communication with Paul Murphy was through email. He was very responsive through all forms of contact. During the session, Paul was creative and extremely talented in making a 2 year old cooperate. He captured the best looks, poses and candid moments. My nephew looked quite entertained in some of the pictures. The print quality and digital images were amazing. I was completely happy with the results!

We have just had family pictures taken by Paul Murphy. First, let me say that the reason we found Paul was to re-take family pictures by a different photographer that turned out horrible…..so we were hoping that Paul would provide us with the family picture that we dreamed of having. After viewing our proofs, not only did he go over-the-top on our family portrait, he was also able to capture some phenominal shots of just our kids and some playful pictures of my husband & I alone. I was most impressed by the creativity of picture “poses” that he arranged us in…..we were standing in a line, laying down on the ground, kneeling, sitting on logs/rocks, standing in a field, and even some shots from behind us to capture our silhouettes! We were very, very pleased with the results & cannot wait to enjoy these pictures in our home. Last, Paul is the perfect balance of professionalism….and yet…. so down-to-earth that you want to invite him over for supper! We cannot recommend him highly enough…..thank you, Paul!!!!

I booked our session through Groupon and was impressed by the photographs we saw, BUT, there is little that could have prepared me for the photo session.
To start, Paul took a few minutes to get a feel for what we wanted from the session and asked several key questions. When we started, I could tell he had a direction with the photos and could really tell he knew what he was doing.
Paul has so much energy and so professional, the photo session was great.
The photos, I thought they would be good. I thought that some would be ok. When we saw the gallery, we got our confirmation that Paul is an artist. There are so many amazing photos and so few that are just ok.
The bottom line, I will recommend Paul to everyone.
I am so happy, so amazed and so please with everything. From the initial conversation, to receiving our photo order, Paul and his staff deserves ten stars!

Paul is a great photographer! I did maternity pics outdoors & they turned out beautiful! He did such a great job that I couldn’t decide which photographs to purchase.
I accidentally added the wrong photographs to my cart & so I was disappointed when the pictures arrived. (they arrived fast by the way) anywhoo, I sent over an email explaining to him what happened & he fixed it in an instant! Now that’s customer service!!

Paul has photographed both my children since they were born and we come to him every year for Halloween, Christmas, Family Pictures and of course the kids pictures every year.
